Spine has five raised bands. Bands and four compartments decorated in gilt pointillé, with the two remaining compartments having black morocco labels with titles, and gilt striping to edges. Fantasy marble endpapers in shades of scarlet with elaborate gilt dentelles; a.e.g. Color Frontis. A very good copy with darkening to the top and fore-edges of boards and light foxing to the prelims; a neat ownership written on the front fly leaf and a gift inscription neatly written on the verso of the rear fly leaf. A lovely copy of this wonderful Brock interpretation of Irving's early 19th century Christmas reminiscence. Skilton p.161
