The Compleat Angler; or, the Contemplative Man’s Recreation, is a pastoral discourse on the joys of fishing. It is one of the three most published books in English literature (the other two are the Bible and the Complete Works of Shakespeare) and has run to more than 300 editions. (Herd, 2017).

A very good copy with tanning to the spine and the edges, with a slight bow to both boards; faint tanning to the margins; isolated light foxing to the prelims. A wonderful illustrative interpretation of Walton's classic with a stunning one of a kind gift binding by Riviere.
