The original box repeats the cover design in brown. Spine with titles and a repeat of the wild rose motif in gold. Illustrated eps. also by Thomson.

Includes pictorial title in black and steel blue, color frontispiece and twenty-four additional tipped-in color plates with caption as well as illustrated owl and moon framing on the mounts. Black and white vignette text illustrations scattered throughout.
