Unsigned Viennese Secession binding design in gold on olive cloth of laurel leaves and berries in small panels divided by narrow abstract borders surrounding a central panel containing the Coat of Arms of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the combined Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of Hungary and Kingdom of Croatia, with the motto of the empire joining the two. Endpapers repeat the binding design in black and white. Black and white secession style headers and initial caps. Includes a frontis. portrait of Franz Joseph I of Austria, a portrait of Karl I (Charles I) and 16 full-page color illustrations of war medals. Facsimile inscription by Charles I of Austria on the first flyleaf that follows the half title.

A list of the honors given to officers and soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian Empire by Emperor Franz Josef and Crown Prince Karl (Charles) Franz Joseph of Austria during WWI between August 1914 and July, 1915. (further volumes never appeared).
