Quarter linen over pale blue, paper covered boards. Signed binding design of a maiden and tree by Will H. Bradley in black and red on front board; the rear board has an unsigned title lettering design by Bradley in black and red. Includes illustrated endpapers, ornamental borders, plates and a double title page all designed and signed by Will H.

A collection of Blackmore's (Lorna Doone) narrative poetry largely concerned with an exploration of the amorous adventures of Adam and Eve

Bradley's tour de force of Art Nouveau decoration and illustration shows the influences of Morris, Whistler and Beardsley.

A scarce survival in VG+ condition with slight chipping to the paper at the corners, the faint toning to the edge of the front board, a paper crease in the upper right quadrant of the front board, and faint offsetting from the verso of the title pages to the limitation page and the preface.
