With an introduction by Eugenius Outerbridge, first president of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the brother of Mary Ewing Outerbridge, who Whitman asserts in this book was the person responsible for importing the game of lawn tennis to the United States from Bermuda in 1874.
