Illustrated througout with photographs with descriptive captions of the buildings and exhibits of the great Jamestown Ter-Centennial Exhibition, which celebrated the 300th anniversary of the first permanent English settlement on the American continent, which ran from April 26th to November 30th, 1907. Photographs include visitors to the fair, clearly showing the fashions of the time. One in a series of exhibitions celebrating the history of America at the turn of the century, The Jamestown Exhibition included exhibits on arts and technology from all states of the union at the time, large military and naval exhibits as well as representation from 20 different nations showcasing arts and technology. In 1917 the exposition site became home to Naval Air Station Hampton Roads (later Naval Station Norfolk). Near fine with faint creasing to the rear cover.
