Includes color frontis. and one other color illustration by Beatrice Parsons, with 48 additional photographic illustrations in black and white. t.e.g. "PRESENTATION COPY" blind stamped onto lower right corner of title page.

A gardening book divided into chapters for each week of the year where advice is given for laying out of the grounds, the lawn, the conservatory, the wild garden and the water garden. A striking and scarce Art Nouveau binding design of a woman in a formal garden with a peacock on a sun dial; the wrap of the design onto the spine gives a surprising and evocative depth to the design.

Light foxing scattered throughout and on the text block edges; slight sunning to the spine.
