Spine has five raised bands decorated in gilt pointillé and 6 compartments each with gilt borders; three compartments contain titles. Brown and white marbled end papers with peacock blue accents; gilt dentelles, t.e.g. Originally published as stories in St. Paul’s Magazine, where Trollope worked as editor, these short pieces of fiction examines the relationship between an editor and his authors.A very good + copy with some loss at the spine head and rubbing to one corner.
