Originally written in 1877, this travelogue of Edwards' journey incorporates history, Egyptology and cultural descriptions into a delightful narrative. A best seller in its time, the book was released in a second edition in 1888, and was reprinted many times after.
A beautiful Amy Sacker binding design first used on Little Journeys Abroad (Knight, 1895). A lovely, bright copy with sun toning to the spine. Scarce in this binding. Little Journeys Abroad is also scarce.
