A signed Will Bradley letterpress colonial style poster in yellow, olive green, flesh, grey, red, blue and black of a design that includes flowers and putti at the top, text, a man and woman dancing in the central panel with a field of trees in the background, and the lower portion showing a basket of flowers flanked by birds, flowers and vines. Statement in text on the lower margin of Ault & Wiborg colors used in the poster: Yellow, 675-16. Olive Green, 676-54. Flesh Tint, 677-50. Grey Tint, 677-69. Red, 674-65. Blue Tint, 678-53. Black, 633-61.; Ault & Wiborg Company advertisement Once Bitten Twice Shy! in black on verso. The Ault & Wiborg Company produced and distributed inks and lithograph supplies, and in 1890 began an advertising campaign that used letterpressed poster inserts printed with the very ink colors that the poster was advertising. These poster inserts ran in The Inland Printer and other trade journals such as The Printer and Bookmaker as well as The American Bookmaker. Will Bradley created a series of more than 20 posters for The Ault and Wiborg Company between 1895 and 1900 that were considered some of his finest design work. A near fine copy with a 1/8" closed tear and two creases of the same size in the upper right corner of the margin.
