Small Folio (12½" x 9¼"). pp. [112]. Limited edition; this copy number 33 of 50 copies printed on Japan Vellum. Cream colored Japan vellum covered boards with titles and Arts & Crafts style grapevine decoration stamped on front board and titles stamped in gold on spine. Decorated title page, decorative boarders and floriate initials on every page by Louis B. Coley, printed in double leaded Satanick type (black-letter). Although Coley decorated a number of books, he is best known for his work on this one. Unopened copy with neat gift inscription on ffep recto has toned spine with two spots at the foot whose title still remains bright. A truly spectacular example of this scarce book from America's fine press movement in the Morrisonian tradition. Potter, 253.

C8vo. (“7.75 x 5.25“). Copy 114 of a limited edition of 200 on Arches Text paper signed by the illustrator. Rose colored deckle paper wraps titled in maroon. Text, full page illustration and tailpiece printed in maroon ink with red and blue highlights to illustrations. Fine with a faint shadow on front lower corner of wrapper. The Teacher of Wisdom is one of six prose poems originally published together by Wilde in 1894 and is a parable about sharing the knowledge of God. The Petrarch Press was founded in 1985 by Peter Bishop who sought to publish important literature in fine, hand-printed editions. Roosje Penfold is a Dutch born American graphic artist living on Whidbey Island, WA.

Lightly sunned spine with two small spots on front board and contemporary ownership inscription on half-title, otherwise a lovely production in the Morrisonian fine press tradition.
